Gord D. has to love that song, I mean how could he not love any song where he screams about a Dorsal fin...Or maybe its because if they start playing it he needs something else to rant about at the end of poets and nois, and hes running dry. This is impossible, therefore the hypothesis that Gord D. wont play it is disproved by contradiction.
Sometimes I really don't understand the live song selection from IBE. I would really like to hear Melt, Copenhagen and Josephine, but they end up laying Heaven and Summer (IMO, those two tracks aren't anything special.)
I totaly agree about Melt and Josephine, those songs would be amazing. I got to see Jo earlier this year, I was VERY happy.
I agree about Summer but not Heaven. Summer's just kinda like crashing noise to me but summer has a great story behind it and the lyrics are really well "crafted" so it's totally saved by the subject matter. I really enjoy Heaven live because Gord just goes crazy singing it, no holding back.,

you didn't ask for an amen, but "Amen" brother. Melt, Copenhagen, and Josephine are my three favourites by a mile and Heaven and Summer's Giving Us a Headache are my two worsties.
Next tour, the Hip should pull an REM and let fans vote for a few songs a night for the setlist. They could use it as an excuse to revive the Hip Club.

I heard Josephine at the show on Canada Day this year, but given that the album had just come out, I didn't really dig the song so much at the time.
