I almost got stuck about thirteen seconds into my drive this morning. Saw only one accident on the way to the subway, and only one hero-type manoeuvre that nearly resulted in an accident.

^ hey, non-Toronto guys, it snows in Toronto just like in the rest of Canada. Stop pretending its the tropics over here at 44N. You don't have to begrudge us the weather. Last winter the average temperature was, what, minus-a-billion for about 4 solid months.

You know the time Mel called in the army -- it's because there was a goddamn huge amount of snow that all fell in like 3 hours. And because we are the hub of Canada's economy (whether you like it or not, all of you who just winced and grasped at straws to try and negate that statement), it's important that people be able to get to work.

You know, as much as you wish Torontonians were worse than you, we're really not. And it snows here too.

The snow is one thing... but the freezing rain today! GOOD GOD!!! Took me about a half-hour to scrape all the ice off my car... was about a half-inch think in some cases.

The ice is covering the trees in hamilton.......it doesnt look like a lot of snow, but it is quite a bit. There is a solid sheet of ice on top of all of it due to the freezing rain,
