They were on Etalk last night on CTV at 7. Very short interview with Gord D only.
I taped it and it's on the torrent tracker.

It's pretty cool, if it is a little brief. I loved Gord's analogy about success in Canada vs. the US...something like 'It's like saying wow, you were in a successful play that ran for twenty years...why weren't you the lead?'
If I were a musician, based on the crap that's passed off as music down here I'd rather be a success anywhere

listen to Lindsay Lohan too? Huh, whattya know... I've only been using one sense, ya know, if gawking is a sense.
I can't believe Gord brought up the Sloan line about "it's not the band I hate, it's the fans". Good ol' Gordo sticking up for his "music lover" fans! I'd like to think that Hip fans are a great group of people but I'm not that naive. I've seen too many hooligans at shows to classify all Hip fans as being great fans. From what I can tell, most of the fans would leave the show happy after hearing New Orleans, Blow, and Little Bones. I'd just like to hear more of an ovation for other songs, like some of the new ones for example. "Summer's Killing Us" and "Copenhagen" are very good songs that got some polite applause. Anyway, who am I to talk about other fans anyway huh? I guess most of them are good people but the roughhousing at shows pisses me off. I can't say I completely disagree with the Sloan statement.
(PS, of course none of this applies to the great fans at Hipbase.)
