I saw Thornley here in London on tuesday night, amazing show, they blew my brains out they were soooo LOUD!! Best part was the concert was free!
It was put on by a local radio station, you had to win to get in, Danny Greaves new band Doctor and The Waking Eyes opened up the show. Doctor was really good, so good that I purchased their CD at the show for only $10, its a good album, if you liked the Watchmen you'll like Doctor. The Waking Eyes, they stunk! They did a modern rock cover of the Beatles "Come Together" it was total shit, dont pay to see this band. As far as Thornley goes amazing band totally rocked the place, they did a couple Big Wreck tunes, That Song and Blown Wide Open, they sounded good but really stood out as different, the Thornley songs had a lot more punch, I loved Big Wreck I saw them in Barrie a few years back, but I dig Thornley alot more, this band is awesome, I cant wait to see them again, hopefully in a bigger venue. If you can see this band I highly recommend going, especially if you want your head blown off!!! :rambo: :thumb:
saw him this summer, he was the Friday night headliner at Summerfest (Saturday was Junkhouse!), i ended up going by myself, but i still had a good time
, the band was pretty tight, and there was a good turnout, all in all it was a good show. enjoy!
