is there a setting for this forum software, that will show you what threads you have posted in? i have seen vbulletin powered boards that have an arrow, or a dot in the post icon that indicates you have posted in that thread.
is there a similar feature with this software? if so, could we implement it. i have a hard time remembering which threads i have posted in and which ones i haven't.
just a thought
Yes there is. I think if you search on your own name/profile there is an option that shows all the topics you've posted in.

If I may hijack while we're on housekeeping issues: Threads that have been posted in since your last visit used to be marked by an orange flag... I don't get that flag anymore... any reason why, am I missing something?

you are talking about the "view your posts" link at the top right side of the forum index? i know about that...
but i am thinking that when i click the "new posts since your last visit" link, it would be great to see something (where the orange flag is) that says that i have posted in a particular thread.
i have attached an example from a dmb board that uses vbulletin. the black dots mean i have posted in that thread.
I do also but you won't see them if you're not logged in.

Ah I misunderstood your question mark. Maybe fire Lance a PM and see if there's a option switch to allow that to users.

I'm logged in, I see them on the Index page i.e. Non-Hip or Downie or Hip forums will have an orange flag beside them... but once I click on one of the forums, once I'm inside, no orange flags appear.
Stephen - go to your profile and see if the bottom section is setup saying yes to these:
Always allow BBCode: Yes
Always allow HTML: Yes
Always enable Smilies: Yes
I am not sure what they do, but it could not hurt.

those won't do anything to fix his problem.
i would try this:
logout
clear temp internet files & cahce
and then log in again.
What does this mean?
"Always allow BBCode:"

"Always allow BBCode:"
i believe it means that tags such as [img] [quote] [b] [i] etc will all work
hey lance. can we do this?

Allow BBCode is on by default, if you are having trouble check your profile.
