Oh, sure. Make sure you ask for it in a bar, close to closing time. Then stumble out into the parking lot.

This works very well in Alberta, but BC will do almost as well.
Mmm poutine. I think you can get it out there. Def not as good as Ottawa or Montreal though.
You know, I know how it's made and if I try hard enough I can find the ingredients here in Denver, but it just doesn't taste the same. The first time I had it was at some winter festival(sorry don't remember the name) in Ottawa. For dessert I had a beaver tail. My arteries promptly clogged shut.

My suggestion:

get the fries with the skins on, not sure what they are called.
Also I use Mac Cormick gravy mix
and of course, sometimes cheese curds are hard to find. look in your deli section. I thought I couldn't find them in Minnesota and there they were.
Bubba's on Princess Street in Kingston used to have the best poutine. I haven't been there in a while. I wonder if it's still as good as I remember? Maybe time for a trip home......

Those are the hardest to find, but I've found them on occation. Maybe they just taste better when it's really cold out. I should make them tonight as it's pretty cold here today. I'll have to get some beer too.

Damn! Now I'm hungry and it's an hour till lunch. Sad

hehe that's all I can think of now is Poutine at Olympic Stadium. That's one of the things I'll miss most about the Expos!

I guess I'll have to settle for Nickle's poutin. I haven't been to MTL in like at least two years. That's like rare for me.
Hehe now i'm hungry! My friend Alain brought me some cheese curds and gravy when he came down from Montreal. I might make some for lunch now. I was trying to hold out but all this talk has me craving.
Nova Scotia....

It is still just as good. :thumb: When I returned to K town for the Hip show in Sept I made a point to go there after the bar Saturday night.

Bubba's is excellent, but the best poutine ever can be found at the Elgin Street Diner in Ottawa. Best gravy I've ever tasted.
Tacoma Narrows Bridge here I come...BC for this guy.

And, I too can vouch that the Elgin Street Diner makes a damn good poutine, especially at 2:00 in the morning....does that disqualify them based on the late night drunken hunger issue?

Goulet!!!
