Right now (10 p.m est) on NBC There is a program called "The Seinfeld Story" about how the show got started...just thought you'd like to know incase you weren't infront of a tv.
I watched it... very interesting to hear some of the background info that went into creating the show, and also VERY funny to see some of the classic moments and a couple outtakes at the end.
It was better than I expected...the opening stand-up was awsome too.
i caught the second half. thanks for alerting me to the fact that it was on
I saw an advertisement yesterday, but wasn't sure when Thanksgiving was in the states..duh..lol, so I confirmed it was on,and tried to get the info out ASAP.
I caught it. As the most ridiculously devoted Seinfeld fan EVER, I couldn't miss it. Larry David actually reminds me of George....or the other way around...
Is it the baldness and glasses? lol

George was
totally based on Larry David. I'm a hardcore Seinfeld fan and subconsciously pepper my speech with almost as many Seinfeld-isms as Hip-isms.
Seinfeld's a very funny guy, but David's a natural freakin' comic genius! His HBO show
Curb Your Enthusiasm is like Seinfeld-squared!
If you like Seinfeld, I
highly recommend the CYE DVDs. Two of the four seasons are available and
every episode will have you laughing out loud!

I couldn't agree more. Curb Your Enthusiasm is the best freakin' comedy on television.

i hope they show it again, i wish i knew about it and wasnt at hockey
Seinfeld is the best show ever.
"A show about nothing..."
The real star of the show was the indispensible Cosmo Kramer though...

I miss that show. A lot.
As much as I love "Curb", I'd have to say "Arrested Development" is the best comedy on TV right now. I just hope Fox gives it enough time to bulid an audience, or it'll soon go the way of "Sports Night" and "Freaks and Geeks"
Cheers

Ya, I was aware Costanza was based on David. And I also knew that Kramer was based on Kenny Kramer. Kenny Kramer is a total spotlight whore. I actually saw him on Judge Judy once and he must have mentioned like 8 times that he was "the real Kramer". Geez. Anyway, can't wait for ALL seasons to be out on DVD.
I'm going to post this gingerly...don't ask me why I know this but.....for those of you interested, Oprah is going to have the entire cast together for the first time since their last show on Monday Nov 29th at 4:00 EST.
I feel shame....
Goulet!!!
It's only out of pure morbid curiosity that I ask how you know that.
