I just joined a moe. forum.
And I went to post - and they said I have to wait 24 hours before my first post.
"Please take this time to read the boards and aquaint yourself with everything"
Kinda pissed me off - but at the same time I think it is a good idea.
That is all I got.

We could definitely use something like that here.

I was just about to search for this thread, and bump up this idea as well. I've got nothing against new members, but if they're forced to wait 24-48 hours before posting themselves, that would give a lot of time to search for their questions which have often already been asked and answered.
