Okay, like Problem Bear I will be the reviver of lost threads....
Just picked up a Charlie Patton CD and I'm listening to it now.
As Gord once sang, "Holy fucking shit...." Get me a time machine. This guy makes Robert Johnson sound like an amateur. This guy was truly the king of the delta blues singers.

1. Blind Willie McTell. There's something so ebullient about this guy's stuff. If my CD hadn't been stolen I'd be listening to it right now.

3. Rolling Stones BEFORE they fossilized.

5. Dylan and the Hawks.
6. The Pogues with Shane McGowan, of course.
6. Nirvana. I coulda seen them, but for some reason put it off until their next tour. Wasn't banking on Cobain getting a little to handy with the shotgun.
