I got this email today:
Hello Adam,
We're excited to announce these tickets are on sale soon in your areas.
On Sale Fri, 11/19/04:
The Tragically Hip Tickets
Use this email to find tickets on Fri, 11/19/04.
I already ordered my tickets on friday, and in fact i picked them up at the box office yesterday. They are so dumb. glad to see that they are putting all those convenience charges to work. :rambo: :rambo:
i never received a conformation email about my new years tickets... but when i check the status of them on the ticketmaster website everything seems okay... should i be worried??
damn ticketmaster, screwing with my emotions.
i didnt get a confirmation email either. i picked up the tix yesterday with no problems.
I also didn't get a confirmation. But I called and they said that the order was fine. But they did say that I couldn't picked them up till after the public on sale has starated..... go figure!!!
No confirmation email but they charged my Visa already.
I love how they used your first name, as if you guys are pals or something. Stuff like that creeps me out, when a faceless corporation adresses me by my first name (or even better, when they say not just 'Stephen', but 'Steve' ) in a generic letter...I dont know why...
I found it hilarious when ticketmaster sent me a
reminder email for the Hip show at GM on sunday...'Oh, thanks ticketmaster, your a real pal! I totally forgot!'

Ticketmaster's Killing Us...might as well be the second track on IBE.
ya, i got the Hamilton ticket sale email too. how thoughtful of them, nice to see where my $7-10 convenience charge goes too
I know Ticketbastard generates a lot of complaints, and I have been annoyed too, but I'm sure glad they're in Saskatoon now. A couple years ago we had Select-a-Seat, which had no www ticket purchase site. Anyone who has sat outside the box office for 5 hours in -25 degree weather the day tickets go on sale for a concert I'm sure would agree. And to get through via phone? Forget about it.
The online purchasing is almost a godsend. I'll gladly pay the extra $10 per ticket to be able to get good seats online and take only 5 minutes of my time doing it from the comfort of my home.
I just gotta say that I DID get a confirmation email from ticketmaster...so at least someone got one
It also says to wait 2 business days before pickup.
-later
ticketmaster has sent me another reminder about the hamilton show, thats now 2.
Yup, i just got number 2 as well...

IN CASE I WOULD FORGET THAT I HAVE TICKETS TO THIS SHOW?????????????????????????????????????????????
gotta love ticketmaster, they havent sent me a reminder of that show im suppose to be going to, forgot when it is.
After hearing all of this, I'm happy that I didn't have to go through Ticketmaster to get tickets for the Halifax show. Although, I had to call the Metro Centre box office to get tickets..
