Unbelievable. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Aside from the Hip, I don't think I've ever seen a band as dynamic as these guys are. The new meterial sounded incredible and the older songs were played with so much energy and bite you'd think they were brand new. During the first of THREE encores they even pulled out "Letter from Bilbao" which I haven't heard live since 1993. It was amazing. The crowd was very rowdy and boisterous, but well behaved for the most part. Not sure if it sold out, but the place looked pretty full to me. Ron mentioned that they had a couple of rough nights in Edmonton and Saskatoon and the band seemed genuinely excited last night to be playing to a full room of hardcore Lowheads. Also, kudos to the soundman for providing them with the most pristine sound I've ever heard at that particular venue. You could hear every instrument perfectly, especially Ron's vocals which were nice and high in the mix. Thanks to the band for putting on such a great show, and special thanks to my buddy Dave in Ottawa who kindly asked his brother (Low bassist Dylan Parker) to put me on the guest list.

For those who have yet to discover this band, I recommend taking a trip to your local record store and checking them out. Or better yet, go see them live. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
