Maybe I'll start a thread about my Bengals, too! No, that would be ridiculous, because who gives a rat's ass about a 3-win, 5-loss team who won't make the playoffs?

Catch my drift?

Lots of Bengals fans would, just as lots of Bills fans give a rat's ass about the Bills.
Yeah, but...ARE there lots of Bengals fans?

Just kidding...

Well, not outside of Cincy, I suppose. But you wouldn't be hearing much from us now anyway, since we observe the practice of lying low when we have a sucky 3-5 record.....
Bills got a lucky ugly win against the Jets last weekend. Bledsoe kinda sucked. Pats will pound the Bills 31-12.

apparently you didnt see too much of the game. Bledsoe was good last week and made 2 unbelievable passes to Lee Evans- 1 for a TD and 1 to put the game away. And he scrambled for 17 on a critical 3rd and 5 that kept that TD drive alive. He may have missed a few WR's but the wind in orchard park was like 25-35 mph all game long. Penningtion on the other hand "kinda sucked" last week.

im not sure that anybody told you that you have to come in here and read this post. There are alot of bills fans on this board bro, and by the way even when we arent a good team the fan support is always there not like Cincy. Thank god marvin lewis gave you a respectable season last year or there would be about 30,000 in the stands in cincy.

I suppose you're right - you Bills boys surely don't need my approval to discuss your team on here, even though the Patsies will probably eat Bledsoe for breakfast. I wasn't trying to take a shot at your team; it just seems a little absurd to beat the drum, calling attention to them when they are struggling....

Cap on the Bengals all you want - they're miserable, too. But don't accuse fans here of not being loyal - they've been run through the wringer so many times I'm suprised any of them still spend time & money in support of this franchise. Remember, fans here haven't seen a winning season / playoff appearance since 1990, and this is 100% the fault of the stubborn, disgraceful ownership of Mike Brown. He is perfectly content to maintain the status quo and line his pockets with shared league revenues, shamefully thumbing his nose at his father's legacy. Yet somehow, Brown can laugh all the way to the bank, as every 2004 home game will sell out.

There is a point at which dignity ought to take priority over loyalty, when personal pride ought to take precedence over patronage, when self-respect ought to trump allegience. For 14 consecutive seasons, Bengal fans have been fleeced. It's about time they take a stand, and hit Mike Brown where it hurts - his wallet.
If Bledsoe plays as well as he did last week the Bills a have a shot. The last time they played it was a lot closer than what the final score showed. Magahee will run wild... I hope.

Esthete, the Bengals have one thing over the Bills. The Bengals best WR is better than the Bills best WR. I'd take Chad Johnson over Moulds 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. Moulds is good but I really think Johnson is just a little better.

Honestly, I'm a Bills fan but I see your point. I'm quite disgusted with the play of the team this year. Bledsoe has had three decent games (not great, but ok) all year. Drew is on his last legs. This team should be 5-3 if Drew didn't stink up the joint for most of the season. Ifs, ands, or buts are useless though. The Bills are what they are-a decent team with a bad record and what looks like probably another year under Donahue without a playoff appearance.

You're right about that - CJ is a stud. I know what you mean about Bledsoe. Still a capable quarterback when he gets some protection, but you're right when you say is time has passed.

I think that here in the second half of the season, the Begals will open up the playbook a little bit and start throwing the ball downfield. Up until now, the schemes have been too conservative. Palmer is pretty sharp for a first-year starter, and has a strong arm. They need to cut him loose and utilize the talent we have at wide-out.
They are doing the right thing by starting Palmer. He is the future for the Bengals and they can only hope he isn't the second coming of Akili Smith.

There are two Johnsons in the NFL that have caught my eye and are just barely below the likes of Moss. CJ and Andre Johnson on the Texans. They are both studs.

BTW, that sign of CJ's asking the NFL not to fine him was a classic!

It's lose/lose for fans in this type of situation. If they keep on coming to the games, they are only lining the pockets of a greedy bastard who only cares about himself. If they stop coming the city gets labelled as a "non-{insert sport here} town" and the owner starts whining that he goes going to move his team to a market that is more supportive.

Good point. It's like the Expos situation. They had no fan support but how can you blame the fans for not showing up? Fans can only take so much.
It seems that I am the only Pats fan wanting to voice an opinion so far. I didn't know there were so many Bills fans around. If the Bills can put together a Steeler-like performance (which is possible), then they can beat the Pats. But I don't think it will happen. 30-17.

BTW, I like the Bills a bit too because Bledsoe was my favorite player when he was with the Pats.
