Don't know where else to put this... I've earned my keep many different ways over the years, including hauling super bees of fuel through southern Alberta and the rockies, and let me tell you, going down a dark highway in a snowstorm with 60,000 L of gasoline behind you can make your palms sweat. Anyways I was driving in the Industrial SE of Calgary today when out of the corner of my eye, police lights caught my attention. There was a Semi stopped at a set of lights, an ambulance and police cars. The Semi had a load of pipe on and had obviously hit the breaks hard as several pieces of the 5 inch pipe had come through the rear of the cab window and followed about 6 feet through the windshield. My thoughts are with the driver and his family, if he's still around..The vision has been in my head all day, just hope he's alright, I guess it just reminded me of close calls driving on the road and what a lack of attention to detail can lead to..
