Right now the popular vote is 56-44 for Bush. That is depressingly large margin. My confidence just went WAY down. And it looks like the Dems could fall even further behind the Pubs in the Senate...Tom Daschle might be on the losing end of this election.

15 states plus Washington DC close their polls in 60 seconds...if Kerry doesn't win the popular vote by a landslide in these states, it's all over.
Crap, that's not a good sign. I'm extremely worried.

It doesnt matter (that much) when the polls close, there are still lots of people in line and they get to vote still. Plus there is lots of counting to do, not to mention the western states.

Have faith that Johnny and pull it off. Ohio, Penn, and New York are all leaning towards the dems.
Bush is looking good. Even Michigan has not been called. The Dems must be worried.

Yep...pretty much sucks :x :x
Bush is winning Wisconsin by a 11 point margin with 12 percent of the vote in. That's gotta be depressing for Dems. weird thing is CNN projected Russ Feingold as the winner with 5 percent of the vote in and him trailing Michels by 5,000 votes...can we say bias boys and girls?? :x
DAMMIT...the electoral votes are skewing 193 for Bush and just 112 for Kerry. This is a DISASTER.
Yikes, Bush has the same lead in Michigan that he has in Wisconsin Confusedhock: Though thats with 9 percent of the vote counted. Keep praying, Kerry fans Tongue
It's still too close to call, but Bush is running away with the electoral vote which is very depressing.
i have a feeling that some of you have never really paid attention to a US presidential race this closely before. The margin right now means very little. Kerry took Pennsylvania which is good, if he can take either florida or Ohio he is in a great position to win. Kerry will take California and if they can hold on to some of the midwestern states he will be golden. Its very up in the air right now.

No, he's not...

California just automatically handed 55 EV to Kerry, which tightens things up significantly...

Looks to me like the only thing that has happened in 4 years is the country has become even MORE polarized...hard to believe...

For the record, I'm still predicting Kerry wins this when all is said and done...

M.
I didn't realize that California had that many electoral votes. It has 32 million people, or about 12% of the US population, so I thought it would have about 25-30 electoral votes! Now I feel a lot better. Not confident, but better than I did a couple of hours ago. Let's see what happens in Ohio!
Kerry just scored on a slapshot from the point from an Edwards pass. He just did the Ray Lewis/TO dance to celebrate.

However, Bush just called him for an illegal stick and he and Cheney will be heading to the power play.

Just a few minutes to go in the game, who is gonna pull this one out?

There is a little "play by play" for ya.

I'm sorry for that, just missing the NHL season a bit and this is the most excitement I can get.
