Tonight there's a lunar eclipse, and it's 18 years to the night they lost game 7 in 1986. It would also of course be a sweep, so it would a perfect ending to this fairy tale.

GO SOX!
well lets hope so.

are you like me, not really saying it is but thinking it is?

If they lose tonight but eventually win it all. I'll be celebrating their win about two hours north of NYC!
I hope it goes to game 5 because I want to get together with a buddy of mine I haven't seen in two months tomorrow and watch it over a few beer. Obviously I want the Sox to take it home, too, so they can win in front of a frenzied Fenway.

How can you not want to see them win in Fenway?!!

I want to see them win it in fenway but a sweep would be perfect too!
I would sacrifice a win tonight for a home win tomorrow.

WAIT! SHIT! I forgot - this doesn't work like hockey. Game 5 is also in St Louis! Dammit. I want to see them win in game 6, at home, but then I think that if St Louis wins two in a row, they could carry the momentum all the way. SO TOUGH TO DECIDE!!
if your really a sox fan you want to see them end it tonight. You dont want to play around with a team that good (see New York Yankees collapse) And yes I am that person who wont say that its over but i smell blood and im sure the sox do as well.

Well this is my first year as a real red sox fan. I always have loved the sox but I only just picked them this year as my official team back in like April because I couldnt' put my heart and soul back into the Expos knowing they were leaving. I don't want to play around either, I just want them to win it. Doesnt' matter where.

What a great year to become a Sox fan, eh?
bandwagoner

would there be anything more fitting than St. Louis to coming back and winning 4 in a row...? i would seriously be spooked out.

although i must say, all signs are pointing to a Sox win tonight, oh well, just you wait, if you thought the Yankees were ruthless in their efforts to buy up all of the best players before, just wait'll you see who we sign this offseason! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! you can stifle the evil empire, but you all know our big bad pin-striped machine will be back and rollin' all the way to another world series title in no time!
So instead of thinking the team should go back to the drawing board and redevelop themselves to have a better team dynamic and get the players to communicate better, or look at options available to them with some of the best players in the game....you would rather they just go out and sign more big names? Give me a break, you have no concept of what a "team" is. You want nine bodies going like robots out there.
really all i want is Randy Johnson to dawn the stripes, that would be sick.

ps: not like robots...LIKE KILLER MACHINES FROM AN EVIL AND FAR OFF GALAXY!
By the way...

Bandwagoner?

Every Yankees fan under the age of 75 is a bandwagoner with a capital B. What the hell attracted you to them, you think Jeter's hot or something? I hope not...I'll bet the 20-odd World Series wins caught your eye. B-B-B-B-Bandwagoner to the bone.

Yeah specially since he's not from NYC or even NY. I've always liked the Red Sox and even if the Expos were still around I'd still be cheering for the Red Sox in the series, just not claiming I was a fan. I decided to be a full time Red Sox fan in like April. I'm not clairvoyant so I didnt know they'd make it this far.

And if I REALLY wanted to be a Bandwagoner. I'd be a YANKEES FAN!
