For the first time in recorded history, gale force winds have been reported in Hell, swiftly bringing in a cold front off the lake of fire.

Last night, temperature's dipped to an all time low (And I really mean "ALL TIME") and forecasters are calling for even cooler temperatures tonight.

Environment Hell forecasters, reporting from Hades International Airport, suspect temperatures could, possibly, incredibly, drop below freezing later tonight.

Currently, the temperature is 4 degree's celcius... and dropping.

I remember '86 all too well... I will not celebrate prematurely no matter how hard the urge hits me. I'm down on my knees, I've taken up three new religions in the past 2 weeks, All of my fingers and toes are crossed, and I refuse to let my friends talk about winning it all.
While I'll be openly cheering on the Sox tonight, I can't shake the feeling that should they win this thing, a major part of their lustre as "loveable losers" will be lost.

To put it another way, one more win and in many people's eyes, they may officially transform into "just another rich baseball team who bought their way to a title"...

I have a close friend who's a Rangers fan (yeah, I know) who once told me that the worst thing they did was win the Stanley Cup back in '94...the 50-year anticipation of what winning would be like quickly gave way to "now what?" the year after...

That said, the Bosox have easily been the best team this series and while acknowledging there's a Bartman in every crowd, I fully expect them to nail this baby down tonight...

Well, we can all become Cubs fans if that's the case...

Thats a very good point, I feel the same way; after this, what next....another team with the Yankees doctrine?

Prospectively speaking, that would be kind of like becoming a Leafs fan, wouldn't it grooveless?

Congrats Sox fans! Here's hoping you can do it again in 2090!
As a follow-up to my previous post, if anyone's looking for a new team to root for, now that the Bosox have moved over to "the dark side" ( ), here are some possibilities:

I can always root for my hometown Milwaukee Brewers, though by the time they get their act together and break the 12 year losing streak, I'll probably be living somewhere else!. Though I can then brag I rooted for the team ever since Harvey's Wallbangers were hot
