That's funny, I'm the exact opposite. I just turned 30 and people still think I'm about 21 when they first meet me. Last week my buddy and I went to see Team America and the ticket girl asked to see my ID. It was fantastic!

I'm 27, turning 28 at the end of November and I have the *fortunate* luck to be mistaken as between the ages of 35-40 by the new hires at work

Oh aaalllriiiiighht...Based on a couple of posts elsewhere in the last twelve hours or so, some of us have already established that I'm the reigning fogey at 43.
Of course, if I'm claiming the title prematurely, I'll certainly rescind the assertion and acquiesce to my elders...

You find that fantastic? I would kill to look older than I am. I turn 24 in December and look about 18. I hate it!

Trust me, as you get a bit older you'll really start to majorly age. I know I've noticed a difference in the last 5 years. I still look somewhere between 20 and 25 though! I love it!!! However, sometimes I feel as if I'm not taken seriously if I dress young and really look young.

Fantastic because when I'm 40, I'll look like I'm about 32. That's a good thing.

That's the thing that bothers me-not being taken seriously. It happens at work quite a bit (work at a tax centre). I get absolutely no respect because of my young looks and it's pathetic. Yeah, there is no age discrimination at work at all!! Well, sorry about the rant, but .....

When I'm 40 I don't mind looking 40. I'd rather look my age than look ten years younger. I wish more middle aged women would think like this too. I want to see wrinkles and signs of aging on women who are in their forties! I loathe all the fake plastic surgery. I don't care for people who just have their bodies "manufactured artificially" for lack of a better term.

Being the vain, female creature that I am, I'm not happy that people think I look older. I suppose I could take it as a compliment, maybe meaning that I carry myself well, but nonetheless, I feel weird about it.

I am 30 and my wife is 26.
She looks very young sometimes, and she works at a Pharmacy where she gets the blow off by a whole bunch of customers thinking she is some high school kid or something - the customers brush her off and try and talk to the male 19 year old college freshman even when she is standing between the customer and the guy - because they are male and a man must be in charge and this little girl can't be anything, let alone the boss - kinda pisses her off.

I'm 24, but thanks to hip-and-happenin' male pattern baldness (I recently gave up and went "Downie") I usually get 28 or 29.
It starts to get annoying in bars when every second thing I say to women who approach me is: "Oh, really... did ya have trouble finding a babysitter?"
So looking older aint all it's cracked up to be. Oh, and when I walk into class rooms on the first day... they fall silent.
