Anybody heard this album yet? I picked it up this morning and I can't stop listening to it. If you're a Waits fan, you'll love it. It's a freakin' masterpiece. Definitely some of the wildest music I've heard since...well...his last album. Most of the percussion on the album is provided by Waits' own voice barking and grunting into the microphone, and then looped over the track to make it sound like a drum kit. It's great stuff! And don't even get me started on how unique and brilliant his lyrics are. Tom's songs have always been a little odd and full of mystery, with bizarre stories, characters, places and situations, and once again he doesn't disappoint.
Overall I give it 5 out of 5 and a big thumbs up! :thumb:

Cool. I haven't heard it but I know that Tom Waits has had an influence on a lot of songwriters. I am not personally a fan but the guy has the goods.
I am a firm believer that Tom deserves an award for every album he has made. It's always good to see people give him props.
