I feel the same way, although I have seen them many times! I was just at the show in Rochester, and it is all I can think about! All I keep thinking about is just seeing all of their shows.... crazy and almost all-consuming really. They are just so incredible. I live in Canada and considered travelling to any of their last 4 gigs in the states since they are such fantastic, intimate venues. I wonder... are these appropriate thoughts for an almost 28 year old???!

You are lucky.... I was silly enough to forget my camera, but I did get the drumsticks (one of which I gave away... so silly!) So makes up for lack of eye candy.

I know exactly what you mean Brazle, about feeling empty after a show. I feel like nothing is as fun or exciting as what i've just been through. It makes me crave the next one. Its an addiction and my friends tell me i need help. Good to hear i'm not the only one!! :wink:

Ya know...I coulda gone the rest of my life (what scant years I have left, in comparison) without reading that thread.
Although, since this is my one-hundredth post since I exited lurker-mode, it does seem appropos. I paused for reflection long enough to search through the myriad Hip-related files salvaged from the hard-drive of my long ago virally-stricken Win 98 PC to confirm my darkest fear: according to a 2000 survey, I was also the oldest member of the Henhouse.

I'm actually quite impressed at the insight and observational skill represented here at the 'base by the newer generation of fans. Age is really a state of mind and I don't think about it too much (until some random thread rubs my face in it). While it gets harder year by year, I still have to do the math when I'm asked my age. When it comes to The Hip, I feel like a wide-eyed adolescent, filled with shock and awe at the awesome talent, power and wisdom that
lives between us, falling in love all over again with each new album, tour, and tale of others' Hip experiences.

Very well put. Age is a state of mind. So many people I have met are shocked when I tell them my age. I don't act my age! :lol:

I also amazed at the intelligence and maturity, most of the time, that the younger people, 20somethings and younger, here have. I know when I finally go to know Grooveless and finally found out his age I was shocked.
When it comes to the hip, I'm a teenager again. Thursday night it was like I was 15 all over again
Also, if I ever pick on somenone because of their age, it is always in jest. If I pick on someone, I like them. If I don't, either I'm not comfortable enough with them, I think they would get offended or I don't like them!
