The Low are hitting Calgary on Nov. 19th at Mount Royal College. Needless to say I'll be there early with my spot staked out in front of the stage. I have yet to hear the new songs live, no thanks to those bastards over at Disclive.com. They sent me an email over a week ago saying that the CDs have all been mailed out, but my disc still hasn't arrived. So far this is turning out to be the worst $30 I've ever spent.

They are also playing in Buffalo next month - one day it is in a record store!!!
Friday & Saturday, November 26 & 27 - Lowest of the Low at Club Infinity
Saturday, November 27 - Lowest of the Low live at New World Record ** - we can’t get enough of them, and we love Sordid Fiction, their new CD (and their first studio album in 10 years). This visit, they’re helping us celebrate our birthday with a special in-store performance. Stay tuned for more details.

Since we're talking about the Low, I'm happy to report that my "Live in Buffalo" CD finally arrived from the douchebags at Disclive.com. The packaging is great, but the sound quality is mildly decent at best. It sounds more like a really good audience boot than a professionally recorded product. Didn't they mic the bass amp?? You can barely hear it. And the drums sound like tin cans being whacked with a wooden spoon. The amazing sound quality of the Hip's Molson Amphitheatre show puts this thing to shame.
Anyway, I'm sure the Low's upcoming show in Cowtown will make up for it. I can't wait!
