I saw this on ESPN, I am just blow away by the willingness of the Red Sox medical staff to try this out. It's not exactly a Red Sox fan giving his/her arm/tendon to win the game but it comes pretty damm close!

I've never been a big Curt Schilling fan, but no one can se he's not a tough SoB.
Does anyone else find it incredibly ironic that Curt Schilling pitched that game with a Red Sock??? He had bled through the sock before the game even began!

And remember The Natural with Robert Redford playing Roy Hobbs? The blood coming through his jersey as he hit that winning HR?
50 years from now someone will make a movie about Schilling's performance and the generation watching it will go: "Yeah, whatever. Like that would happen."
That's why I'm hoping the Sox win the World Series. If they don't, people might forget what Schilling did.
OK, probably not - but a WS win would certainly romanticize it all that much more.

That song... ya know that haunting theme when Redford hits the homerun into the lights... was used during a Schiling post game video package on WSBK in Boston. Quite fitting.
It was certainly a gutsy performance... good on Curt, and let's go Sox!
