Corner Gas guest appearance
Check out a sneak peek of The Hip's guest appearance on CTV's Corner Gas. Stay tuned for an exact air date but it's looking like sometime in February.
I'd heard that they were to make an appearance. Looks like this confirms this.
Very cool indeed. Wonder what the ratings might be for that episode.
Great show, hands down one of the funniest on tv

Now that is a show the Hip will be good on, It'll be interesting to watch.
Hopefully they'll get more air time than Darryl Sittler did...his "cameo" consisted of a quick swipe of him hitting his thumb with a hammer (net air time <5 sec)...

Here's a Chart article about the appearance: http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2005/01/0708.cfm

The Tragically Hip To Fuel Up At Corner Gas

While it may have dorkier plot lines than hipster American shows like The O.C. or Desperate Housewives, Canadians from coast to coast have developed soft spots for the CTV comedy Corner Gas. Taking place in a small town, the show — which is the brainchild of reasonably funny comedian Brett Butt — is uniquely Canadian and is about to get a boost from some Canadian musical icons.
The Tragically Hip and Colin James are both scheduled to star in an upcoming episode of the show, which is set to air on March 14. The show's plot sees the Butt character reuniting with his old band and will likely feature all kinds of musical hilarity.
In addition to the inclusion of musical guest stars, the new year also sees Corner Gas moving to a new night. Leaving its pre-Degrassi slot on Tuesday nights, starting January 17, the show will begin to air on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET (check local listings for other time zones) on CTV. Other plot-lines for upcoming shows include a curling-themed show on January 17, which will feature guest appearances from Canadian curling champs Randy Ferbey and Dave Nedohin and an episode about a visit from an American tourist that will guest star former Kid In The Hall Mark McKinney.
The Corner Gas appearance should come as little surprise to Tragically Hip fans, seeing as the band seem to have a mini-obsession with Canadian-grown comedies. When we interviewed Hip singer Gord Downie back in June he wouldn't shut up about his love for the Trailer Park Boys. The TP Boys also appeared in the Hip video for "The Darkest One."
