And the fall concert season looks bright as well, with HECFI booking Van Halen, Metallica for October dates and the Tragically Hip is set to do two concerts in December at Copps Coliseum.
nothing like the worst paper known to man to report the Hip doing two shows in hamilton. The front page story on this paper is either a 4 year old going down a slide or a clown dancing around.

Alright! New Years with the Hip again, im excited, I hope its sure deal. I had a blast at the last one........ :thumb:
Kinda surprised this hasn't been "officially" announced yet... there's been rumblings for a month or so now. A lot of people make New Years' plans early, so they should probably get tickets on sale soon.

I hope that there's a New Year's Day show also. The wife really isn't into spending the "eve" at Copps......
Ticketmaster.ca still isn't showing anything.
I wouldn't be surprised if tickets went on sale only weeks before the event.
If anyone hears anything about the Hamilton show, could you please let me know? I have been checking Ticketmaster incessantly, but I know they will be announced when I am working for 3 days straight and I'll miss out....

You would think it would have been announced by now. I think two years ago the hip had the whole thing lined up way in advance.
I saw online that Copps said they had them confirmed for 2 dates in December, but it didn't say when or elaborate at all....
It is strange- one of those last minute things I guess?
some hamilton press is reporting Dec 30 and Dec 31 as hip dates.
I believe the hold up on the announcement is to allow all other hip concerts in the area to sell out. Some people are holding off going to Toronto and sitting in bad seats when we can go to the Hammer and still get some good seats. I am one of those people. I would love to go to Toronto but the only tickets left suck. See you in the Hammer.
Someone in another post said that they were told by the boys themselves that they are only playing for NYE in Hamilton.
Copps did state that the Hip are confirmed for 2 dates in December. Who knows, maybe they backed out of one of them. I really do hope they are there for both dates- I would love to go, but not sure I would be able to on NYE... then I would be all preoccupied, imagining what I was missing.....
