It seems like most of you all are probably from "Up North", but I was wondering if anyone here is going to see The Hip at the House of Blues this Friday...
I live in the very western end of North Carolina and I have to say not too many people here have even heard of The Hip... and I teach at a university (where there are young people who are into music).
Anyway, my wife and I saw Great Big Sea in Asheville, NC on the Uprooted Tour and about 80% of the club was filled with transplanted Canadians who drove from Raliegh and Charlotte. I am thinking/hoping this will be the case in Myrtle. Otherwise my wife and I may get a private show.

We are from Michigan and moved to the Carolinas two years ago. I am from Detroit (Or as they say in Canada: "Detroyit") and my wife is from Iron Mountain, MI. This will be my 6th Hip show and her 5th. We have not seen them since 2000 so I am really pumped!!!!
