I'm going to the show on the 26th and am looking for a place that is within walking distance to the ACC - maybe like a 30 min walk at most. Are there any hotels this close or will you have to drive?

Just wondering if someone familiar with the downtown TO area could list me a few hotels that they would suggest as I would like to book it fairly soon. Thanks a ton!

I know they advertised the Sheraton Centre when I bought my tix.
Pretty much every hotel in Downtown Toronto is within a 30 minute trek to the ACC.

Here are some of the closest:

Royal York Hotel
Westin Harbour Castle
Delta Chelsea
Novotel
Holiday Inn on King

Here's a good listing: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.canadianhotelguide.com/ca/Ontario-hotels/Toronto-hotels.html">http://www.canadianhotelguide.com/ca/On ... otels.html</a><!-- m -->

If you have specific questions about a hotel, post it here, and I'll fill you in as best I can.
I've stayed at the Royal York...it is fit for a queen. You'll fit in well there Mike. Make sure you take out a second mortgage on your house for a 1 night stay though. I believe the hockey hall of fame is also short walking distance from there.
Thanks guys, I hope to have one booked by tomorrow sometime! Just don't want to pay to park twice, that's why I was looking for walking distance.
Toronto has a great subway/streetcar transit system, so no matter where you stay, you won't have to drive to the venue.
drez the holiday on king is a nice hotel my wife and i stayed there parking under hotel

walking distance to skydoem and other attrations plus there are cabs out front easy ride to and from the show

enjoy

how late do the buses stop running? 24 hours?
The subway runs from approximately 6:00 am to 2:00 am. Downtown Toronto has streetcars, and a few busses; some are 24 hours, as denoted by the blue band on the bus/streetcar stop signs. They are called the "Blue Night" lines.

Holiday Inn on King is a good bet, and it's in the Entertainment District - close to lots of restaurants and clubs; and it is within walking distance to the show.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn on King once before and it is a great place, they ended up screwing something up and giving us one of the best rooms in the place, a room that ran like $399 per night! Very nice screw up on their part! This time I think I am going to go with the Sheraton Centre only because it offers a better price...$139 versus $189. I can walk the extra block for 50 bucks less! I would drive back to Buffalo but I feel like being a little lazy after the show and maybe relaxing or going out for a bit downtown.

Anyways thanks for all the input. I am not too familiar with the whole street car and public transportation thing so I think I will stay clear of that so I don't end up getting lost or wasting time.

I guess next up is to see where Hipbasers might meet up before the show. But that can wait until a week before showtime.
hey mike,
the delta chelsea or the sheraton centre are always our hotels of choice. Its like a 6 dollar cab ride for 4 people so you cant beat that. Book one of those and you wont be disappointed.
The Sheraton Centre is probably closer to The ACC than the Holiday Inn. Good choice.
Try using priceline.com to get a room. You can get a 4 or 5 star hotel downtown Toronto for $50 american at the most... Definetly the way to go!
