Hi all,
The wife and I will are making plans to go to the ACC show in Toronto (Nov 26th).
Looking forward to going to the Hockey Hall of Fame as well.
Just wondering if anyone could suggest a good hotel to stay at, and other fun things to do up there.
Any suggestions would be appreciated - we are up for anything and everything.
Thanks!
Jerremy
the hockey hall of fame isn't all that great. i was there a couple years ago and wasn't all that impressed
i stay at the Novatel on The Esplanade. it is walking distance to the ACC, hockey hall of fame, eaton center, union station, etc
I've enjoyed the HHOF when I've been there, although I haven't been in quite a few years.
If you're in town on the Thursday night before the concert, I definitely recommend going to Healey's. Jeff and his band play there every Thursday along with a different guest. I've had many exceptional Thursday nights there this year!
I also went with a large group to Second City one night. We had some kind of dinner-and-show package, and that was a great time as well.
check out the line up at the Horseshoe tavern www.horseshoetavern.com or Lee's Palace, maybe you can catch a couple of good shows that weekend if you are big live music fans.
Or check out the distillary historic district. Really nice restaurants, food and music ( usually Jazz).
ROM ( Royal Ontario Museum) is always a good bet to if you like some culture.
Casa Loma is also a good bet if you like history and old houses. First time I stayed there was at an out of the way hotel, but close to the subway and trolley lines. Hotel Alexandria i think was the name.
Hi all,
Thanks for the info.
Sounds like there is lots to do.
HHOF is 1st on the list and the other activities and places mentioned sound good as well. Healey's sounds like a good time, but we won't get in until Friday. The wife will like the museum and the old houses. Caught Second City in Vegas - which was a blast. How was the their show?
If anyone else has anything to add, please do.
Thanks again all,
Jerremy
You can try priceline.com for a hotel. I was able to stay at the Marriot in the Eaton Center for $40 US a night 2 weeks ago... :thumb:
