Our fire capacity is 942 with no furniture.

Wow That place gets amazing Gigs! North Mississippi Allstars october 7th, don't miss them if you live close by, tons of other great shows too.

Yeah!!! The Orange Peel is an awesome venue. I saw Yo La Tengo there last year.
I think it may have the longest bar in North Carolina...you know, if you're into that long bar scene...nevermind.

I plan on vacationing in the outter banks next summer I will have to keep that place in mind. is it a reasonable distance from the outter banks??

BEST VENUE EVER! Hands down one of the all time great places to see a show. I have been all around and this my friends is where to see you favorite band. Don't forget to stop by Barleys Taproom or some other bars. Very intimate, even more than the 9:30 Club.

The Orange Peel is a hoot! It's a lot of fun, and it's right in the middle of town. It's not a large venue, but it gets some great acts. Very well organized. Eveyone will have a great spot. Asheville is a fun town to walk around and there are lots of other things to do. The town is kind of a freak show, and in Octobor, it will be full of Fall color and not too chilly (compared to Canada.. :roll: )

The Outerbanks are ..12 (!) hours away. We are up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and it's not an easy trek to the beach. Charleston is closer..only 4 hours.

The drive to the Atlanta show is about 3.5 hours and Myrtle Beach is a little longer, since there are no direct routes..around 4.5 hours.

Really the Outter banks are that far. Oh well I guess I won't be going when I am on vacation.

I do some poster work for the Orange Peel. They are getting some amazing shows for a small venue. Bob Dylan played there a few months ago. I hope to make it down someday. Look for my posters on the wall.

You guys are getting flooded-out down there, aren't y'all? My uncle lives down there after living in Canada for 45 years, and he finds it comical how everything comes to a dead stop if there's frost on the ground. But, I can tell, there is a reason for concern this time with all that rain.

The state of NC owns about three snowplows. So, there ya have it.
We don't like to admit that we actually get anything remotely Northern, so we are in denial about the entire "snow" thing.

Yes, we got a load of rain and everything was/is completely flooded.
The worse part was that the watermains couldn't handle the pressure and they all broke, so we (the entire city of Asheville) have been out of water for about three days. Needless to say I smell like...Moosebutt. (that's Canadian, right?)
