Don't know of anyone here is into the power and fury that Hurricanes unleash but there is another one brewing up,you can sea it there in the bottom right hand corner, it's gonna be worse than the previous 1 they endured hock: I figure it's about a week out still and come a weeks time its gonna slam hard into Florida. The downside of livin in Florida



There is also a nasty nasty looking Typhoon welling up in the Pacific that looks like it'll leave Japan, but prawly more so Korea will feel a definate impact from this, It's a pretty amazing picture of it actually.

How bout that...when I saw this thread I thought it was another "this summer sucks" thread...oddly enough we are now on our SIXTH straight day of sunshine and warm weather (though it's still humid). We haven't had more than three consecutive days of good weather all summer, so this is a real treat. We have had PLENTY of consecutive days of shitty weather, but we're enjoying out first nice week since the spring.

You think hurricanes are a downside of living in Florida? How about heat, humidity, politics, old people, etc...suffice to say I'm not a fan of Florida!

My wife and her girlfriend have been on a cruise this past week.
Good weather all around.
They took off from Puerto Rico and they disembark there again tomorrow.
I looked at the hurricane path earlier today , and it is supposed to hit Puerto Rico late Sunday night early Monday morning.
Talk about being lucky and missing the damn thing by 12 hours.

My cousin used to have a house in Punta Gorda, Florida.....enough said....

Nothing but shitty weather here in beautiful upstate NY this summer. Rain and cold. We're into our third day of heat and humidity and we're all dying around here. On the other hand, when it's cooler it's nice and sunny and almost fall like. Lots of rainstorms this summer. It's almost like living in England or Seattle, from what I understand.

Agreed. I've been in Syracuse for about 50 some odd hours and everytime I have ventured outside, I have been greeted by huge gusts of wind and pelting rain. *grumble* What a way to start off the year.

I'm hitting Syracuse and Philadelphia...I start student teaching the monday after the shows. Gah. Help me Lord! :mrgreen:
