...I am going to this show, and very excitedly, I might add.
Just wanted to point out that the show is set for 7pm. The venue says there are two shows that night...The Hip at 7pm...then DJ Krush is set to hit the stage for an 11pm show.
Who is DJ Krush?? Is this an act...or is he a DJ, and can we assume a hip-hop or a techno crowd filling in during/after The Hip show??
Yikes...
DJ Krush is a well-known DJ from Japan.
website here: http://www.mmjp.or.jp/sus/krush/
DJ Krush is a Hip Hop/Acid Jazz DJ. Good stuff. So yeah expect a hip hop crowd to be coming in after the show. Good folks though.
I will be there...If anyone needs good directions from buffalo, let me know. I make the 410 mile trip about once a month and I know a couple of shortcuts.

Fiddler, Email me at brian11175@yahoo.com and I will send you directions. From Niagara Falls it's alittle over 400 miles and about 8 hours.
Okay...here is a new P.S. for this thread...
How many of us Hipbaser's are going...we should all try to stay in the same hotel or nearby vacinity...to party on well after The Hip show!! We're staying at the Holiday Inn Central, near Dupont Circle. I already know a few other Hipbaser's are staying there as well.

8 hours? it takes me 5 hours and 45 minutes. of course i am breaking the speed limit also. :thumb: also, if your not into driving, there is a new airline (independent air) flying from buffalo to dulles roundtrip for $120

hock: . prolly cheaper and way faster than driving. thats what i'll be doing and i'll be staying in centreville at my friends house. dont know a single person on this board but wouldnt mind meeting up with people down there before the show. Another FYI: the 9:30 club isnt in the nicest area so dont worry you'll be safe but its ghetto.
Hugh, ShannonW & her friend Nathalie and myself are staying in Philly at the Hilton around the corner from Torcadero Hall. We're driving to DC for the 9:30 Club show on the 25th then it's off to Philly after the show (2 hours away) where we're staying the night then hang during the day before we head to the show. If there's people going to Philly, book a room at the Hilton. It has a pool and fridge's in the room.
It's going to be a great time!!!
j_espo, My record is 6 1/2, that is straight through stopping once for gas.....now that i have a 1yr old it's 8 hours. 5hrs 45 min... never....
Also, Flying southwest from Buff to BWI, about $100.
I got tix on Independence Air from Buffalo to Dulles...it was $101 per person...not a bad deal! And we take the shuttle to the Union Station in DC and take the red line to our hotel...piece of cake!! I know the Green Line runs almost right into the 9:30 Club...it's a couple blocks away from the U street metro stop.
