Prawly 1 of the better thingz I pride myself in doing is reciting HIP,mind U, I do fuck it up every so often. I feel maybe In-To-Night may have just said it outta frustration, he knowz the score....
Thank you everyone.
I'm totally not trying to sound like a jerk here, but I'm still unconvinced. I consider myself a pretty big hip fan. I am probably still catching up to some people, because i basically bought every single album around the same time about a year ago, and I could give the main gist of most songs. . . and not that reciting lyrics makes you a bigger or lesser fan. . but you guys are claiming to have the ability to recite the lyrics, which are some of the most complicated out there, of all these songs:

The list of songs is just as unnecessary as the lyrics to Meridian because any of us could recite the songs in order of each of the albums too. Come on, man, you're outmatched here. Obviously you like making lists, so go figure out every stupid thing Bush ever said and get back to me.
 Ha ha ha ha... yeah
i would assume though that intothenight has superior typing skills..he gets enough practice!!! Big Grin
Into the night....the only thing you are doing is pissing off a lot of people for no good reason, and at the same time giving yourself advanced carpal tunnel syndrome...

I discovered a long time ago that there is one sure fire way to alienate yourself in a crowd and that is to call them out on the carpet and say that they are incapable of doing something....

I bet you someone told Terry Fox he couldn't walk 2 miles on that leg let alone halfway across Canada, I bet ya someone told Gretzky there's no way he can snipe 50 goals in less than 40 games, and I bet ya someone told the Tragically Hip they'd never make it as a band.

Moral of the story, don't do/say something unless you can back that mouth/typewriter up...you're just going to give yourself a lot of grief...especially when it's something as simple as that cheap ass gauntlet you threw down amongst a group of lifelong Hip fanatics...I'm just looking out for ya dude!!!

Goulet!!!

That right there is probably the reason you don't know the lyrics to every song...
Wait til you've listened to the Hip 8 hours a day for 5 years...
I have trouble with remembering what I ate yesterday... not with Hip lyrics...

Well, first of all, even though it doesn't really matter because this is a message board, I just want to say that I'm not calling everybody a liar and taking this topic that seriously. This thread is the equivalent to being with friends, hearing an outlandish story, and saying "shuuuut up". . if you get what I'm saying.

Anyways, and second of all, I copy and pasted that list, as well as the hundredth meridian lyrics.

Third, what we are arguing about doesn't even really matter, and there is no way to prove it either way. . so yeah. . lets forget it.
someone give me the Lyrics for Ouch!, or Montreal. or Bumblebee.
Off the top of there head of course.
this one was easy enough...I have it in my head all the time!

Montreal

She used to like lavender pantsuits
Long black velvet gloves
She smiles cause she's tired of the blues
The only boy she ever loved
Don't you worry, mama's gonna make her look good
Don't you worry, her mama's gonna make her look good

She doesn't care for leopard coats
There's talkin' in the air
Kissing girls on New Year's Eve
Kissing up in leather chairs
Don't you worry, mama's gonna make her look good
Don't you worry; her mama's gonna make her look good

Won't she give me the chance,
The chance to explain?
"Well, explain away."

The snow is so merciless
On poor old Montreal
In spite of everything that's happened
Yeah, in spite of it all
Don't you worry, mama's gonna make her look good
Don't you worry, her mama's gonna make her look good

Because a coward won't die alone
Because a coward won't die alone
Alone with fear
Don't think of you alone
Not when we're with you
Because a coward won't die alone!
Because a coward won't die alone!
A coward won't die alone!

Big Grin
Couild never figure out why that never made it on an album, great tune. I guess we will have to wait for the box set.
