I think the only hotter VJ on any station that I can recall is Rebecca Rankin. Can you believe I can't find a picture of her on Google? Oh well, I suppose most people know who she is.

If I remember correctly, she went to VH1 as well. Wow. MuchMusic has become VH1's farm system. TAKE RICK! PLEASE, TAKE RICK!

I thought she went on to MTV, but I can't be sure.

If Rick is picked up, he'll probably have to drive down to NYC. Get word to me before he sets off...a strategically placed land mine could spare the Americans the irritation that we have come to feel like a bowel obstruction.

If Much Music Was ever cool I missed the boat......although the Weird Al specials they had were pretty kewl!!!

Appreciate the effort, but folks, believe me, that's a terrible picture...doesn't do her justice. I've never seen her wear glasses before...I guess the only time I've seen her recently is when she's always commenting in those Much More Music specials, the ones imported from the US. She seems very knowledgable about a wide range of music...and she's HOT on TV. What do you reckon she is now, 30? 32? Oh and I have nothing against people who wear glasses as a rule. I do myself, so clearly there's nothing wrong with it

She is just about the most pretentious and self-involved little ditz to strut the tely I have ever seen. She knows NOTHING about music, so they just throw her onto the gossip train a la Entertainment Tonight. Her personality (or lack there of) is so pervasively sickening that I honestly dont think shes even a little bit attractive anymore.

The JD Roberts thing doesnt get nearly enough attention. It is one of the most stupendous about faces of modern times. Really. Even before MM he was the DJ on the afternoon Toronto Rocks show on CITY introducing Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant and CanCon Sunglasses at Night. Now he's asking Rumsfeld about IAEA sanctions against Iran.

I would say the real problem with Much losing its edginess is the absence of Mosez in the decision making.

Seriously, there was a phase in the mid 90s when I thought I was losing my mind. First I saw JD "Call me John" Roberts doing the CBS weekend news. Then I saw/heard Alanis go from poppy bubblegum music to angry young grrrrrl music, with guitars instead of synthesizers.
