Is anyone old enough to have seen a worse summer than the one upon us now? I'm still waiting for the sun and heat to arrive, but believe it or not, we are in mid-August. Some mornings I wake up and it feels as though the leaves are ready to fall off the trees. The air is crisp and the dew is everywhere. The rain hasn't stopped here in Eastern Ontario for about a week now. What the hell is going on? Have we missed our summer?
I'm with you Andre. The Western New York area has been brutal. I think its broke 80 deg. like twice! When its not raining it is either gloomy or cool. Very depressing. I wonder what is in store for us this winter.
I think we're going to get our summer in september..wouldn't that be nice? hold off the snow for a little while.
I'm leaving for a three day camping trip tonite. i'm nervous that i may freeze to death.
i think the seasons are changing.

summer used to be may-august and it now seems to be july-late sept.

The "climate experts" have been saying that for the last year or so. Global warming is causing a shift in our seasons, and overall temperatures. Sadly the term "global warming" makes people think that things are just going to get warmer; not that it is going to screw our entire ecology over with climate and seasonal shifts.

They should rename it "Global Death as a Result of the Actions of Humankind!" I think that would get the point across better than soft terms like global warming.
haha, yeah....global warming my ass. should have been a meteorologist...can be wrong every day and NOT get fired. BRING ON HTE SNOW BABY
Its not as bad as the summer when it rained 18 weekends in a row.
its worse...cuz its now!
As sfissel and I can tell you: the government is controlling the weather.

And they've proved this by looking at data from what? maybe the last 100 years?

I'm not totally sold that human actions alone are the reason for a shift in temperatures. The world was getting warmer and cooler for years and years before we showed up.

As for the shitty summer weather, well with my business, I couldn't be happier that the drought on the prairies is over.

Sitting at the top of the food chain should require us to act in a way conducive to the continued success of our planet. Whether humans are 100% to blame or not, en masse, we are certainly not doing anything to help improve the situation.

Yes, because that is about the amount of time people really have been polluting this world.
