Just made the 3 hour trip from Swift Current to N.Battleford. Road trips are always the best way to get into new albums. I was just interested to know what cd's you all take on the road. Here's what I had:

IBE - Hip
Live Between Us - Hip
Henhouse - Hip
Neko Case - Blacklisted
Black Keys
White Stripes - White Stripes
Eels - Shootenanny
The new Blue Rodeo
Interpol
Sadies - Stories often Told
Radiohead - OK Computer
I don't know why, but ever since I got my license... Clapton's "Unplugged" and GnR's "Appetite for Destruction" have been driving standards for me... along with everything Hip of course.
GnR - Use Your Illusions 1 & 2 (these never leave my car)
Hip - MP3 CD that has all songs off the first 8 albums.
Howie Day - Stop All The World Now
Counting Crows - Films About Ghosts (Best Of - just replaced my homemade best of)

amazing, isn't it? I will go as far as to say if you team up Mrs. Potter's Lullabye, Long December, and Holiday in Spain, you have three of the most gutwrenchingly painful/beautiful songs ever penned.

Out of curiousity, have you Counting Crows fans seen their new video where the animated rabbit is Adam Duritz? The video for Grace, Too always baffled me, but that rabbit video is just plain nutty! Confusedhock:
For a three hour trip you only need one Dead show, Any live Dead show.
i just "fucked with the 401" from buffalo to detroit this weekend and I listened to :

OAR- Live
Watchmen- Slomotion
Stereophonics- cant remember what the disc is called
Ron Hawkins and the Rusty Nails- Crackstatic
Matt Good- Beautiful Midnight and White Light Rock and Roll Review
Dave Attel- Skanks for the Memories

You don't have to have a BMW to do this.

Alpine has their version as well.
And it retails for about $100 plus the Alpine head unit.
