Hey everyone the hip will be recording and selling their upcoming shows - I dont have anymore info at the moment just that this will be announced soon with more details but finally - A+ quality boots of hip shows
At the Mod Club they said they were checking into the best way to do it.
Glad to hear they are coming.
as long as they don't screw them up like the did the gD solo shows.
also, they better step in the 21 century and offer looseless downloads (ie: SHN or FLAC16)
oh sure, they're gonna record the shows after they've played Sudbury, did you know, that there is not a single recording in any format of a single Sudbury show?!?!?!?!?!?! what gives, there's even a boot from north bay...NORTH BAY!

I know that someone was filming the show from the very first row in Sudbury. I just hope that he/she releases it soon, cause it sure was a goody.
GOULET!!!
Finally, If your readin this....Thanx Tragically Hip Guyz/ Band/ Management people....
That is such good news. A step in the right direction for sure.

Verrrrrrry doubtful. I know hardcore traders prefer lossless formats, but there is a much bigger market of MP3 users out there and since pretty much all media players play MP3s, it will create the least amount of headaches for whoever on the Hip's team is going to be looking after this. I can't imagine the volume of "how the hell do you play FLAC files?" emails they'd get.....
This is excellent news!!! Maybe they could do these like Pearl Jam does - offer a link to MP3 files right away (for those that can't wait) and then mail actual discs within a week. Might cost the fans more, but I think it would be worth it.
Also, my GD show is pretty good - I took the MP3 files, converted them to .wav format, and used my EasyCD Creator to adjust the mix.
Looks like I'm gonna be thumping pavement looking for steady employment...
as I am probably gonna have to be spending money in the future...
ah well, good news comes when you least expect it.

I agree. I'm not one of those computer nerds that want the show on my IPod or something. I physically want to have something to show for the $15 or whatever it is going to cost.

I agree 100%
Since I don't have a decent computer or a CD burner, I'm hoping they offer discs as well as MP3's. All I gots is my little ole' laptop.
How I would love if they were sold in stores Pearl Jam style.
hopefully they will do what the BNL did with taped shows.....
for 20.00 you get the show on cdr, and for like 15.00 (or 10.00) i forget, but you can download the show (mp3)
