About 2 rows ahead of me (row 8 center, I believe) there was a guy in the ailse seat with a hip hockey jersey on. He had a child with him of, about 4-5 years old in a leafs jersey. Throughout the show, he was doing his best inpersenation of Michael Jackson's balcony dangle, but by lifting the child high in the air, over his hear, on his shoulders, shaking wildly, etc. A few times it looked as if he was going to throw the kid on stage as an offering to Gord and the band. :thumb: The kid looked terrified throughout the entire show. Not to mention $55 on a ticket well spent! At the least, he was trying to get a reaction from Gord. Well, if Gord didn't see you sir, the rest of us are proud that you made the trip down from T.O., with your kid and his little leafs jersey. :roll:

That's crazy. What an arse. I wonder if he's on the hipbase here... :?

That guy and his kid were directly behind me!
He was pretty trashed to say the least, and his kid kicked me a few times too. I thought about turning around and smackin' his dad but the pot I was puffing seemed to be doing it's job quite well.
I noticed he kept on movin' out in the aisle and dancin' with his kid on his shoulders. lol

Small world...that guy(who was double fisting drinks ALL night) and his kid were right in front of us. (we were 9th row center) The guy told us it was the kids fifth Hip show...
One of the ushers asked the guy before the show started if he wanted earplugs for the kid...he took them but then never put them in his ears. Poor kid is going to be deaf before he reaches 18.
Oh, and when the dude took off to get another drink, his kid followed him and the guy didn't even know it. I wonder how long it took him to realize his poor little boy was trying to keep up.

Also, his wife or girlfriend was pissed off at him for acting like such an ass, sure he got an earful the next day.

Anyway Buffalohipfan, what made you think of this now ? Funny, I was just thinking about what a jackass that guy was/is..then this thread appeared :lol:

I met Hasek a little while ago at the Press Conference, he looks phenomenol, and I have it on first hand info from Gibby that he's worth ten times more than what they're paying him.

I've "only" been alive for 32 of those 38 years, and "only" been watching hockey - as in watching it and understanding it, for the past 24 years so I only have 63% of the full bitterness.

Seriously though, think about it objectively. The guy hit his peak in 98/99. He was average at best in Detroit (much like when they won the Cup with Osgood, they won that Cup in spite of Hasek, not because of Hasek), then he took a year off to attack rollerhockey players, then last year he skipped town due to his "groin injury" (without telling management). Quite honestly, I don't think a washed up headcase is an upgrade over Lalime, but I guess they did have to do something. And I guess this move is better than picking up a washed up Peter Bondra, because that move worked so well.

It's a one-sided attack job by a guy who clearly has a vendetta against Dom, but is this the guy you really want in the locker room of a team that has been labelled as lacking character?

And I'll save you the post: yes, I know the Leafs are old and are in no danger of winning the Cup anytime soon. But as long as they keep beating the Sens, they keep making me money.

This guy was in front of me, I was in row 10, he was in row 8. I understand getting your kids into the music but sh*t! This poor kid looked like he was being mugged...tossed in the air, swung around the row. My brother turned to me and said if I ever did that with my son he would kill me.

I actually plan on tossing my 4 year old like a beach ball at the upcoming Rush show at Darien Lake, look for me. :thumb:

Well, I was pretty trashed also, the memories are just coming back to me now. LOL

I saw this guy, he was a two rows in front of us, and to our right. I could see the cute little blonde kid being hoisted and thought WHAT A BLOODY MORON, he's going to go deaf. And the father really was out of it. I wanted to call Child Services in the worst way. I had one of my kids there too, but he is 15...and the thought of bringing kids much younger than that to a live (LOUD) rock show is just unheard of. It'd be one thing on the grass, where it's not as loud...but to be that close, that poor kid's hearing must have been ringing for days.
