Mean Streak's "Bottom's of their boots" and "Dust clings to the air" are straight out of two popular rants during the IVL tour. HOB #4 has a great one at the start of Grace.
And of course Gord's "Life is forgetting, life is for gett'n" thing made it into VS. I heard that rant at all six shows I saw on the IVL tour and at Edgefest, sometimes it was a two minute song in the middle of 100th.

There are a few parts that I picked up on hearing IBE for the first time, that I heard in various rants in shows during 2002 & 2003.
"The swooshing on the bottom of their boots on the top of the grass as the haywagon rolled past" was used as a rant in 3 or 4 of the shows that I saw in 2002/2003 (I think it was in Poets, but I'm not positive.)
I think "the way the dust clings to the air after a strangers been here" was used.
I'm pretty sure there are a couple others that were used, but I'm drawing a blank right now.

A couple come out of two different Fully Completely's off the top of my head.
The loyality of a fruitfly is mentioned at the 10-16-02 Hummingbird Show
The first verse of Joe is sung at the first Hammer show.
I might be off on the dates -- both just off the top of my head. When I have a spare moment before school I'll go through what I have (recordings, set notes, etc) to see what I can come up with.
Cheers
Pat

If I recall correctly, that "Swoosh swoosh sound, etc. etc." was a huge rant at the show they played before the Queen. I can't remember to much, haven't seen it in a while, but I recall that bridge from Meanstreak, as well as a half-a-dozen "Sooouuuunnnnddddsss" being played during Poets at that show...
