3. every Weakerthans and Watchmen show ive seen.

Ill add my honorable mentions:

Blind Boys of Alabama @ Mont Tremblant about 2 weeks ago.
Tea Party (Finger Eleven opened for them), Toronto '99
Silverchair, Edgefest - Barrie '99
Hayden, Toronto '04
Radiohead - MSG NY, 03
Pearl Jam - Columbus Ohio 00
Foo Fighters - Toronto 03
1. Metallica (with Godsmack) in Winnipeg (May 2004.) I was right up front for the whole show and the set list was amazing for this show... well worth the trip out west!
2. Metallica (with Corrosion of Conformity) in Hamilton (Feb 1997.) The stage show on this tour was amazing. They had a huge stage that took up most of the arena floor, and had a "disaster scene" at the end of Sandman where lights were falling, guys falling off rope ladders and a guy running across stage on fire. When the band came back out for the encore, they started playing with little practice amps, then the main speakers kicked back in... just an awesome show.
3. Black Sabbath (with Pantera) in Toronto (1999.) I never thought that I'd have a chance to see the original Sabbath, since Ozzy left when I was 3. Ozzy could still sing and remember the words back in '99, so it was a great show (not sure if I'd be able to say the same if I saw them on the current Ozzfest tour... Ozzy has really gone downhill in the last few years.)
1. John Mellencamp in Het Congresgebouw in The Hague in 1992
2. Rolling Stones in De Kuip in Rotterdam in 1990
3. Omar and the Howlers in De Oosterpoort in Groningen in 1995
1. Bruce Springsteen - Lincoln Financial Field - Philadelphia, PA, 2003
2. Counting Crows - The E-Center - Camden, NJ, 1997
3. Barenaked Ladies - The Spectrum - Philadelphia, PA, 1998 (I know there are lots of BNL haters here on hipbase...but I adore them, and it was a great show. Hard to beat the New Year's Eve atmosphere.)

Lets think...

In no order...

1. Biohazard/Sepultura/Pantera (Darien Lake): Sick, sick show. The craziest pit I've ever been in.

2. Lollapalooza '92 (Barrie) particularly RATM, Primus and Front 242: Awesome mud pit!

3. Rollins Band (Blind Mellons): The loudest show anyone has ever heard. Hank has the most amazing stage presence and energy.

Honorable mention:

Billy Joel (HSBC Arena)
Every Mighty Mighty Bosstones show I've ever been to.
Slayer (Connecticut Street Armory)
1. Smashing Pumpkins 14/09/96: my favourite band of all time at the height of their popularity and critical acclaim, ON MY BIRTHDAY! the same night we lost the world cup of hockey to the USA, but it didn't bother me at all, i was on cloud nine after the 2+ hour show at Maple Leaf gardens, it was my only visit to the old gardens and the memories will last a life time, not to mention it was the first concert i ever went to, it was a major turning point in my life, and ever since that day i've been hooked on music.

2. SARSstock: Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Rush, The Guess Who, The Tea Party, Sam Roberts all on one bill for the biggest most rockinest concert our nation's ever seen...nuff said.

3. Queens Of The Stone Age/...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead/The Burning Brides 07/09/2002: in Toronto at Kool Haus, the openers were both great, and QOTSA totally blew me away, not to mention it was so friggin hot in there, it was above 30 C outside and i swear on my life they the heat turned on because the band likes it hot to simulate their desert jam sessions and enhance the effect of w/e drugs their on. i smoked 2 huge canons to my head before the show and drank a mickey and the heat combined with the intoxicants combined with the incredible music and insane mosh pit totally kicked my ass.

4. Our Lady Peace February 96 @ Sudbury Arena: This was back when they still kicked ass, and they sure did that night. looking back it was really incredible hearing OLP play a set consisting of material exclusively from Naveed and Clumsy, they even played a rare song called trapeze that Raine explained was a song about a married couple working for a circus who have an act with each other on the trapeze that involves a daring finish to the routine with no net, one night the man discovers that his wife is fucking the human cannon ball and the song is about the two seconds he has to decide wether or not he should cath her or let her fall, AND they covered Dear Prudence.

5. Cannibal Corpse/The Black Dahlia Murder 12/07/2004 Sudbury @ Shriner's Hall: friggin insane, the sickest craziest live show i''ve ever been to, and needless to say the craziest mosh pit i've ever had the pleasure of participating in.
shit, i thought it said top 5, oh well that's my top 5, i could drop corpse from the list i guess, and make olp and qotsa a tie for third.

Can't remember the dates of these since the ticket stubs are at home and I'm at work, but here they are anyway...

Tool - Calgary 02' - Simply a mindblowing show. Amazing mucisians with an incredible stage show.

Bruce Springsteen - Calgary and Ottawa 03' - Hardest working man in Rock. This guy blows me away and he's 50+ Awsome.

Pearl Jam - Vancouver 03' - The energy in this show was intense. Great road trip from Calgary and this show was amazing.

RHCP - Calgary 03' - High high energy and an amazing show. Truely great rock show.

and Neil Young - Vancouver 00' I think - Just awsome to be able to see this legend live and in person. Great musician. And Beck opened for him which was also very cool.

Guess that's 5 but they were all super cool. I could probably think of a few more outstanding ones if I had my ticket stubs in front of me but those ones really stand out.

Oh shit... Forgot about Ben Harper. He's got to be in there somewhere. Incredible show.

I'm sure there's more...
