I don't know if anyone was watching the Red Sox-Yanks game last night, but we had it on at the Canadian Press where i work, and they must have shown Kerry, who was at the game, once an inning, minimum, and Im using no hyperbole. They had an interview with him, on fricken ESPN, and even after, they continue to show his reaction to every Kevin Millar home run. I remember HNIC broadcasts where chretien or someone like that was at the game, and they show him once, sure, but that's it. All I have to say is thank God we don't deify our politicians in Canada like my friends to the south, or more specifically, the media does. That way, here, when the politicians fail, they have a shorter distance to fall.

A fellow journalist I see. Are you watching the DNC right now too? Sadly, Carter's lost a few steps, his speech didn't do too much for me... I'm expecting more from the Happy Couple up next.
ya, well im a journalist in training, i attend ryerson. And I'm interested in sports writing mainly, but the politics do catch my eye every so often, but more so media coverage of it... Havent seen any of the democratic convention, though I read Boston's been shut down by it and the citizens are none too happy. As for Carter, he was well before my time. It's funny that the democrats are having their convention in boston and the republicans in new york. Do you think the curse of the bambino will come into play in November as well as October?

I graduated from Algonquin College in '02 and The University of Ottawa last year with a bunch of useless letters that I hope pay off in the end, going back for some more next year. Working the Ottawa Sun, doing everything but the job every red blooded man wants.
When Ruth does come back, I hope it's for the city where he hit his first pro home run... our Jays could use him.
Ya, I'm a Ryerson punk, though I try to detatch myself from the general attitude that many carry with that distinction, as many people who I've met you can are fuckin smart, but just not creative or intuitive enough to make a good reporter. As we all know, its one giant crapshoot when it comes to getting a job anyway.
As for Ruth, I'd enjoy some power hitting on the jays that didn't come with a .210 average and a $17 mil annual. Delgado's such a tool, although I'm enjoying his moral stand against God Bless America.
