Man I am not one for domestic beer, but Canadian brewed Budweiser is far superior to Molson Canadian. Besides it is brewed by Labatt's anyway (I thin its Labatt's.)

I've noticed it at parties. Over the last two years, or something, everybody seems to be buying Budweiser and, strangely, Wildcat

Does anybody even notice different tastes between beer?! I mean, people have said to me, "Oh, you gotta try this beer!" I could sit there with a glass of every single beer on the planet and not notice a single difference between any of them. All those years of smoking have destroyed me..... :roll:
Budweiser is the most popular beer in the world. No matter where you go (US, Canada, UK, Mexico) but that doesn't mean it is the best, just best distributed.
Bud IS the most popular beer int he world. BUt I work at a Beer Store, and Budweiser does not come close to Canadian, Blue, or Coors Light. Especially not coors light!

Macleans did a story about Canadian brands losing the domestic market to Bud a few months ago. It's been a long time comming...
And as for those "I Am Canadian" ads. They're done by an American ad firm. It seems they figured they'd take the cheap, easy and ignorant "We're better than them" beer-can nationalism and earn a buck off it. It worked.
They might as well call it: "We define ourselves in the negative: at least we're not THEM" campaign... but that probably wouldn't fit on the label.
I won't shed a tear when the "I Am" stuff just goes away.

i think you mean you can't tell the difference between different types of fizzy-yellow-swill type beverages. these are hardly beers. the reason they taste the same is because:
a) they are crap
b) they all fall into the "pale lager" category
you should probably try drinking some REAL beer that is made with actual HOPS and MALTED BARLEY that you can taste. clearly none of these things can be tasted in any MacroShit.

The only true Canadian brewery you have in that list is Molson. Labbat is partially owned by Belgins I believe and Coors light... well it may be brewed in Canada, but it's certainly not Canadian.
And Stephen, I did know that it was an American ad firm that churned out all the "I AM" ads. I do agree with you about them as well, totally classless. I just think it's funny that there's a possibility of a merger between Molson and Coors while Molson has this huge patriotic "I AM" ad campaign running that basically says we're better than them.

haha :lol: , listen to beanmedic. He speaks the truth. Though there is a time and place for everything, and you will occasionally catch me with a "fizzy-yellow-swill type beverage", I much prefer good beer. :wink:
