What's the best Hip album-closer, and why? Fire away!

If I had the brains to figure out the 'poll' function, I'd start one on this. Confusedcratch:
I'd call it pretty much a dead heat among the last four albums, with the slight edge to Dark Canuck on IVL because of the drum fadeout. I love the way Pines eases you out of M@W, and the plaintive endings both Penguin and Joe give their albums.

My least favorites are probably Opiated and Impossibilium (which I think doesn't work as well as a closer as Terrarium might have).

..hey..what's wrong with opiated??? :x
Emperor Penguin without a doubt!
I'm not saying Opiated's a bad song; it just doesn't scream "album closer" to me in the way a lot of the others do. It always feels to me like an extra song after Another Midnight, which is more album-endish to my ears.

I second that vote... although Dark Canuck is a very close second for me (i love how it breaks off into that jam half way through, with a classic Gordie "whoo" early on).
It's a tie between Emperor Penguin and The Dark Canuck.
Josephine may be my favorite song on the album (its close between it, Heaven, You're Everywhere and Scar) so it has to be the best closer.

Emperor Penguin is a close second and Dark Canuck gets the Bronze

Stickboy
i'm with most,
Emperor Penguin and The Dark Canuck are my favs
Last of the Unplucked Gems -- for sure!!!! Although -- Emperor Penguin is a close 2nd -- BUT then again Highway Girl is the closer without the "bonus" All Canadian Surf Club that was added for CD purposes!! soooo hmmm.....

ditto....last of the unplucked gems is right up there too
I'd have to say Last of the Unplucked Gems, followed closely by The Dark Canuck.
last of the unplucked gems.
Gems, and dark canuck. Josaphine is climing the ranks though.
It's time to rehabilitate 'Opiated.' What a great tune, with its soft-loud dynamic and wonderfully ominous lyrics...how can so many people dismiss it? (especially as a compensation for the dreary 'Another Midnight').
