It's not so much as being sensitive as not being ignorant. Whether or not Jeeter and A-Rod are homosexuals I'm sure they wanted to have a copy of GD singing on their TIVO when they got home. All in all it really just weakens your point.
My nationalistic days may be far behind me, but the anthem still should have been shown on television. Not that the CBC or TSN have't not shown the US anthem before, just that usually they'll edit both now before opting for just one.

I can't agree more..but fear not Hip fans...we will have the priviledge of hearing Gordie's rendition soon enough....great things are most certainly worth waiting for.
The true tragedy is seeing how shameful the music industry is to see that American Idol train-wreck of a singer make it to the top of the charts. I'm not sure what was worse, Fantasia's ridiculously over-done extendo version or Rosanne Barr...at least she knew she sucked.
