vicariousmartyr Wrote:speaking of this song, and the loud-mouthed jingoistic redneck in which it refers to, does anyone know if this song has in anyway elicited a resonse from prince Toby Keith? Because obviously, Gord's not saying good things about him.

Im sure he would respond in some manner given he knows about the song and realizes "hey wait, he done talkin bout me!", being the type he is. Anyone heard of anything? Im interested....

In an interview with Ottawa's Cath Thompson from 106.9fm last week, Gord slagged Toby Keith in his oh so subtle yet biting way.

The conversation was about the current world scene and how some folks just don't, or can't, read between the lines... get past the spin, the government line.

I hadn't linked Toby to "Nashville," but now that you mention it... Does anybody know if Keith has a song with "I'll die before I quit" in it?
ron Wrote:has anyone else heard at the end of the song johnny setting his drum stickss down makes me laugh that they left that in must ask them if it was intentional

i also notice something in the background of heart of the melt just before gord starts belting...and before the first chorus in thugs you hear gord mutter "c'mon"
At the end of Makeshift, as the guitars are fading out, someone hits a string that doesn't sound like it's supposed to be there (kind of interrupts the fade).
