Apparently they're not doing a full-on Canadian tour until November, so I'd expect the boys to be down south during late July, August, and September. Don't worry, they'll announce the tour dates soon enough. They've already got all the Canadian festival dates announced, so they're most likely just finalizing the U.S. end of things. Have patience, my friend. They're comin!

I feel your frustration as well, but the anticipation is a little exciting I must admit. I already know what weekend I'm traveling to see them, so its just a matter of finding out where I'll be going....
But just to put things in perspective, oddly enough, my favorite band from my youth (The Cure) and my favorite band of today (The Hip) both released their new albums today. The Cure announced about 15 European Summer Festival dates in April, and then announced their entire US tour back in May. They are playing the US in July/August. Not to mention that they are playing with 10 other bands in a 'festival' type tour. You're telling me The Hip can't organize at least the 1st leg of the Summer Tour by now? What, organizing 20 dates on the east or west coast is that difficult??
I fell a little better now.

Don't expect a full tour until the fall, i'm assuming that means the states as well......they still haven't finalized anything, they said they're going to be playing arenas, theatres, clubs depending on the city, but nothing has been booked yet.

i doubt they'll put an album out in the summer and not tour in support of it til the fall? that would seem pretty foolish.

I know they enjoy touring in the summer...and their wives and kids all tag along for sight-seeing. Wouldn't surprise me to start seeing some US cities being announced for late July and early August. It's going to be HOT in the south, but it's soooooooo worth the trek!!

they should be touring canada in the summer, outdoor venues, large crowds....then hit the states in september/october for the smaller theatres/clubs.

I like the idea of the summer Canadian tour, and they'll do that next summer, but I like the way of and kinda use to them warming up in the U.S. then coming up here in the chill of winter after they've kinda got the tunez "mastered" (if 1 can call it that,) to warm our soulz in a sold out hockey rink.....

I would like to return to Bolton Valley in Vermont '00. Did anyone else here attend that show? What an amazing site. On a mountain side, stage set up at the bottom of the ski hill. It was perfect.

I've been to every hip show in vermont except the first on the WIZN Blues Cruise (Booze cruise) and the sugarbush show (I was actually on the last bus to pull into the upper parking lot and the cops wouldn't let us off...I never got my money back for that blunder) one of my best friends was on the booze cruise show. He's so close a friend because he got me into the hip and a hip cd has seen my cd player at least once a day on the way to and from work for the past 14 years. The show at bolton was incredilbe, I hope they play there this summer. If not the Memorial Colliseum is perhaps the quantest spot you'll ever see a band, wooden bleachers and all. I am aniouxsly awaiting the green mountain stopover.
