Is this some kind of rodent "peace protest"? Is this their version of civil unrest? Did they try writing their congressman to express their view before resorting to this kind of extreme action? Did they march on Capital Hill? Organize some sort of "squirrel sit-in"? The answer---NO!!!
I hope that these and ALL forms of rodentia realize that the troops serving overseas are simply doing their duty. By stealing the ribbons, it does not end the war, but merely serves to show the complete lack of understand and compassion that these squirrels have!
In closing, I think they should take a lesson from the rabbit on the Trix box. The only thing he tried to steal was cereal...
