Why is the July 1st Toronto show not sold out? I'm perplexed.
I can't understand it, its Canada Day, the concert is in Toronto, the Hip are to Canada what baseball and apple pie are to the U.S.
Whats the deal? Any thoughts?
expensive for most...only side view, partial view, and lawns left. Yeah, i would have bet it would sell out fast...im guessing it will sell out as the date nears

I know me and bunch of people would have been their 100% if we didn't already have Canada Day/weekend plans. Hard to justify blowing off amazing road trip plans -- even for a Hip concert. If they had announced earlier we'd be there.

Well as we get closer to show time here, it looks as if it is going to sell out by showtime for sure. All lawns are gone, and there are some scattered seats under the tent, but I doubt many. I guess it doesn't matter when it sells out, just good to see that it most likely will!!
For me, it was either a guaranteed ticket to the Amphitheatre or a gamble on Mod Club tickets. I gambled, I won, and as a result I can't afford to go to the Amphitheatre show. Still, Mod Club+Ottawa Bluesfest within eleven days of one another ain't half bad. 8)

Just curious...did both of the '02 Amp shows sell out?
I remember hearing they set an all time record for the Molson Amp (don't know whether or not it was for an individual show or the two night stand), so I'm pretty sure they sold out.
Just like with New Years, I think a lot of people make those plans pretty far in advance. I'm pretty sure the New Years Eve show in '02 didn't sell out, but the show the night before did.
