Every think of alternative lyrics for a hip song?

Some guy lost on a desert island with two dogs....

"We live to survive on a pair of dachsunds" Smile
ok ???????
Until about a year ago, when somebody on the NG set me straight, I swore the lyric was "Locked in the morgue, screaming out Macbeth."

When I found out it was actually "Traipsing the boards" the whole thing made a whole helluva lot more sense.

Wooo! I'm not the only one!

When you think about it, the old superstition is that you can't say "Macbeth" when you're actually performing in Macbeth. So, a guy is in an empty theatre, traipsing the boards (the stage), and tempting fate.

When I read it the first time I thought: "How could you possibly miss that for all these years?" so not to worry, I know you're silly feeling and I feel your pain.
no no no, the myth is the other way around, the only time that you can say the name of the Scottish play is when you're preforming in it. The only way to "break the curse" is to run around the theatre three times. We had an awful expereince. A jackass freshman refused to do the laps and a picture hanging from the rigging fell and missed the director by like half an inch. Confusedhock: true story.

*cough*
I learned that on the Simpsons...I'm smart.
