Does anyonehave any ifno on clubs they'll be hitting or if we can get advance ticket sales from the hip club? I saw the Hip at a small a club a few years back and there is just no comparison seeing them that way. WOuld love to again.
97.7 Hitz FM in St. Catherine's said today that news will be coming down in the next few days about some club gigs. You can probably expect something along the lines of the IVL or Camp Trillium/Charity shows. They also said this year's edition of the club gigs will extend to more cities in Canada.
I've been able to see the Hip twice now in small clubs; at the Commodore in Vancouver during the M@W tour and at Lee's Palace in Toronto at the Olympic warm-up.

It was great to finally see them in a tiny venue, but I actually left disappointed. I really missed the sensation of over ten thousand fans singing along to every song and the energy that comes with a huge concert. Club shows tend to be shorter, meaning they're usually greatest hits shows with a few songs from the new album sprinkled in.

Obviously everyone who gets in will have a great time and I really hope everyone who's spent years imagining seeing the Hip at a small club gets to see them there, but I'm actually looking forward to the Molson Amp. shows more than a local club gig.

But speaking of that, the Hip mentioned that the Molson Amp show will be their only Toronto date this summer. I assume that means that Toronto won't be getting a club show. So GTA Hip fans; get ready for a roadtrip.
I'm really happy to hear that they might be playing Calgary because that gives us some hope for a Winnipeg club show. I just hope if there is one I find out about the ticket on-sale and so on and don't miss out on it! Confused
I think when The Hip say "this will be their only Toronto appearance this summer", that means they will return for more shows later in the tour during the fall or winter. Just my opinion.
They will probably close the tour with an ACC show!
