Okay, a friend of a friend (that works at Darien Lake) told me that she got tickets for The Hip's concert at Darien Lake already, apparently yesterday, because she has season passes for Darien...and people with passes get first dibs at concert tickets (a presale, to some effect).
Anyone else have season tickets that can confirm this????

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle...you CAN buy Hip tickets now for Darien Lake. Thing is, the best tickets I got were section 202... I think I'll wait for the regular sale tomorrow morning.

Just checked for an individual seat on cc.com, and I could score section 101, row 6. Not bad...too bad there will be 8 of us going, so this one seat won't fly!!
