Hey everyone
what are some other Hip message boards. is there an "official board" set up by the band's site or the record company? what is the most trafficked board out there?
of course, i like this one too though!

Many of us here are from the original HENHOUSE Mailing list which was popular in the 1997-2000+ days I think and I am sure there are plenty of others here from the TTH Newsgroup as it has died down abit compared to a few years ago...but still ongoing..
This is the most comprehensive HIP site on the web currently for up- to-date news and staying in "the conversation". Since this site went live I found that my visits to thehip.com even went down. The rumours, news & discussion tends to be more up to date...here
If anyone knows of another place let us know please.... but until then corduroy2121 you have found us.

i guess im just used to the Pearl Jam message board with much much more traffic. up to the minute news. its got considerably more members though apparently
I'm a huge PJ fan too, them and The Hip are my 1 and 1A favourite bands. Keep in mind Pearl Jam is known worldwide so they have users from all over the place...with The Hip it's probably about 90% Canadians registered here.
The only thing that bugs me about the Pearl Jam board is all the mindless threads like "what colour of shoelaces does Ed have?" and that kind of thing.
i believe that this is it, as was mentioned before the Henhouse and AMTH were quite popular (there is or was a reincarnated Henhouse over at yahoo but I haven't checked it out in a while).
I agree that Lance has done a superb job, as well as the other mods and everyone who participates. I don't always have time to write but I enjoy reading the hipbase every chance I get.

i changed over from a newsgroup that was on google and there is no comparison. on the other you had to cut thru all the BS to find something of interest. this one you get the up to date happenings and really good people to boot.
The Hipbase saved my life... (crying)... I used to be a smack junkie....
