Ticket pricing is set by the promoter.. House of Blues..
Molson Amphitheatre is a really great venue.. One of the nicest venues in Toronto.. The sound is incredible.. however, I think what most people complain about is the atmosphere of the Amphitheatre.. The crowd can be rather rigid and stuffy..
For me, and being the first time to see The Hip.. it's probably a great place to see them..

I understand what your saying about the ticket prices.. I don't find it's outrageous.. if you compare it to other concerts at the ACC or Skydome..
The Rolling Stones.. $350 per ticket Tongue

My biggest complaint about all of this.. It's Canada Day! suppose to be a family day.. Family of 4 - $300 wow.. The show starts at 7:30.. So what do you do the day of? you would sort of have to make your way down to the amphitheatre in the dinner hour..

Do the tickets include admission to Ontario Place?

I am thinking of a lot of families who love The Tragically Hip.. I have seen this with a few other bands too.. I guess this is what the lawns are for..

Cheers! 8)
ticket prices NEVER include admission to the park
That is the usual policy, but every concert I've seen at Molson Amph. has included admission to Ontario Place (well, the grounds). Extra $$ to go on the attaractions, but it's not really an attactions place. More to just go and chill.

Actually I think I got on a paddle boat 2 years back when i saw Weezer, maybe the attendant didn't care.
ya, it included admission to the park just no rides. but really, who cares about the rides when you can meet Hipbasers.
Is there a bar in within walking distance?
i think there's a bar in the ontario place, an outdoor patio if i remember correctly.
Admission to the grounds of Ontario Place has been included with every concert ticket I've purchased for The Amphitheatre. (You have to enter the Ontario Place grounds to get to you seats!)

As far as bars are concerned; your best bets are up towards King Street West. Not much of a selection, but better than the Ontario Place grounds can offer.
